What Is an All-In-One Water Softener?

These minerals can cause problems such as scale buildup in plumbing, appliances, and fixtures, and can also reduce the effectiveness of soaps and detergents. An all-in-one water softener and filtration system is designed to also remove or reduce various contaminants commonly found in water sources.
What Contaminants can a All-In-One Water Softener Treat?

Coconut Shell Carbon
Coconut shell carbon, also known as activated carbon derived from coconut shells, is a highly effective filtration media commonly used in water treatment systems. It is produced by heating coconut shells to high temperatures, creating a porous structure with a large surface area.
Coconut shell carbon has excellent adsorption properties due to its high surface area and microporous structure. It can effectively adsorb a wide range of contaminants, including organic compounds, chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), certain heavy metals, and some pesticides. The adsorption process involves contaminants being attracted and trapped on the surface of the carbon, effectively removing them from the water.
Taste and Odor Improvement: Coconut shell carbon is particularly effective in improving the taste and odor of water. It can remove chlorine and other compounds that contribute to unpleasant tastes and smells, providing cleaner and better-tasting water for consumption.

Catalytic Activated Carbon

It’s important to note that we utilize reticulated foam cubed media that enhances the longevity and performance of the filtration process.
KDF 55 and KDF 85 Reticulated Processed Media
KDF 55 and KDF 85 Process Media can remove up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals. All KDF Process Media forms are effective in controlling the buildup of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale, making them ideal for use in GAC beds, ion exchange resins, carbon block filters and inline carbon filters.
KDF 85: media designed specifically for the removal of iron and hydrogen sulfide from water. Its primary applications are for well water treatment.
KDF 85 is highly effective in removing dissolved iron from water. It employs a redox (oxidation-reduction) process to convert soluble ferrous iron into insoluble ferric hydroxide, which can be filtered out of the water.
KDF 85 is also capable of removing hydrogen sulfide, a gas that causes the characteristic "rotten egg" smell in water.
Why is the Difference between Granulated Media and Reticulated Foam Media ?
When comparing foam cubes to granulated media for filtration purposes, there are a few key benefits to consider:
Increased Surface Area: Foam cubes typically have a higher surface area compared to granulated media. The complex structure of foam cubes, with its interconnected pores and channels, provides a larger area for beneficial bacteria to colonize.
